Description
This coin celebrates Augustus St. Gaudens’ original 1907 ultra high relief design. There were only a handful of these coins created because of the difficulty in creating a high relief coin. This coin builds on the original coin, one of which sold at $2,900,000 in 2005.
The United States Mint built on the momentum and popularity of the coin and created the 2009 adaptation of the original design.
Perfect 70 is the highest grade possible for a coin and happens even less when a coin is mint state. It is very rare and difficult to come by. The price is low and the availability is limited.
A very thick coin with a diameter of only 27 mm. Has the beautiful lettered edge as well.
